This 3D interactive experience features two floors of exhibits about Nebraska's natural history, set in an open-air courtyard in the Nebraska dunes. Set in a room in the first museum space, the university's former architecture university auditorium, the "Museum Builders" exhibition tells the story of the early days of the state museum. Visitors can interact with artifacts from the early days of the museum's collection and learn more about the museum's founding. The "Cave of Time" exhibit on the lower level simulates a Dakota sandstone cave with seven portals, allowing you to travel back in time to Nebraska's seven prehistoric eras through simulations that show different climates, landscapes, and prehistoric animals. An internet connection is required to view the videos present throughout the app.
