End of Night is a cinematic VR experience that tells the painful memories of a man who fled from Denmark to Sweden during World War II.
It’s an artistic combination of advanced technologies like photogrammetry and volumetric video, fused together to form a collage-like 3D world. While its depiction of war-torn Copenhagen is realistic and based on real accounts, the fictional experience unfolds like fragments of vague memories from painful memories.
In this 360-degree VR video, viewers sit in the passenger seat of a rowing boat and sit face-to-face with Josef in complete freedom. Through physical contact with him and his vivid stories of heroism and immorality, the viewer becomes an intimate observer of the trauma experienced by young people who have been forced to flee their own country.
